Dr. Henry L. Burkholder IV, MD is a board-certified physician specializing in pediatrics and pediatric cardiology. With extensive experience in cardiovascular health and complex medical cases, Dr. Burkholder provides expert medical leadership and clinical oversight, supporting patients of all ages through comprehensive and preventative care.

Education & Clinical Background

Dr. Burkholder earned his medical degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, New York in 2007. He completed both his pediatric residency and pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, where he also served as Chief Pediatric Cardiology Fellow. His training and experience allow him to evaluate and manage a wide range of cardiovascular conditions and complex medical cases.

Professional Recognition & Leadership

Dr. Burkholder has been recognized as a Houstonia Top Doctor and was recently named a Texas Monthly Super Doctor. He also serves as the Medical Director for the Alvin Community College Pediatric Echocardiogram Program, where he helps train the next generation of pediatric echocardiography technicians. In addition, he has helped develop and implement mobile cardiac screening programs designed to expand access to preventative heart health services for adolescents and adults.
